Denver Riggleman Wins Final Lynchburg Debate Against Leslie Cockburn

IN FINAL 5th DISTRICT DEBATE, DENVER RIGGLEMAN DEFEATS LESLIE COCKBURN

Lynchburg, VA – In a debate hosted by the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance, Denver Riggleman decisively defeated his Democratic opponent. Showing unmatched business expertise, Denver laid out a responsible agenda that can continue the country’s recent economic growth and bring more jobs to the 5th district.

“The contrast is clear,” said Riggleman Campaign Manager Joe Chelak. “Denver Riggleman will keep taxes low and work towards a balanced federal budget. Leslie Cockburn continues to cling to Nancy Pelosi’s pie-in-the-sky talking points. She wants to provide free community college, medicare-for-all, and a government subsidized $15 minimum wage but doesn’t explain how to pay for it. On November 6th, 5th district voters will have a simple choice to make. In conclusion, the voters will choose between lower taxes and higher taxes, more freedom or less freedom.”

The debate was the first held in the Lynchburg area. The 5th district candidates were joined by 6th district candidates Republican Ben Cline and Democrat Jennifer Lewis. This was the final debate before Election Day.
